Once you have been scammed, recovery scammers will contact you promising to get your money back, usually for a fee. DON’T PAY THEM!

It’s important not to engage any investigators, lawyers or forensic services until you understand whether your loss is reimbursable.

Most scam survivors in Australia need support to fight the long battle to recover their mental and financial health after a scam.

We formed this not-for-profit to do exactly that. We are all volunteers who are not paid.

Joanne O'Brien took her case to the Supreme Court, and still had no money returned
Jacomi Du Preez had a friend in Treasury help her recover the life insurance payout of her dead husband, scammed by a fake Macquarie Bank website and term deposit.
Sarah and Laine Robinson went into their ANZ branch to transfer money to buy their dream home, but it was a scam. It took nearly a year of fighting, but their money was ultimately returned.
Louis lost $109,350 to a fake PEXA scam buying his first home in 2024. AFCA determined he is liable for the scam and his mortgage bank is allowed to profit by charging interest on the loss.
Levin Salaberry lost money buying a house and his bank refunded the money after his case was raised at the National Press Club and with AFCA.
Kim and Kessada Sawyer were defrauded by a fake term deposit they believed they were putting their superannuation into.
